To celebrate the launch of our new Sun and Beach range we are organising a new children’s summer art competition.

To enter the art competition let your little artists have fun drawing or painting their favourite beach scene. Send us the drawing and be in with a chance to win a bumper set of beach toys.

The Indie’Go Music Festival is a new family friendly festival taking place in Fenagh, Co. Carlow on August 6th, 7th and 8th. It promises loads of fun including 40 bands, 20 DJ’s and an array of exciting performances and workshops for all the family. Sounds like our kind of festival.
Ans what’s more! The good folks at Indie’Go are currently running a children’s competition to win a 3 day family ticket to the festival. The idea is for the kids to get creative with a digital camera (or just paper and crayons ) and post their entry to the Indie’Go Facebook page. Apart from tickets, the winning images will also be featured (and credited!) on Indie’Go’s promotional materials – from the website and social networks to printed leaflets, programmes, posters and even in set decoration. The closing date for entries is July 2nd.

Thanks to everyone for entering our Online Outdoor Family Quiz. We’re delighted with the number of entries we received and the feedback from people taking the quiz. Hopefully you learned a bit about some of the fantastic outdoor attractions available to us in Ireland.

We are delighted to bring you the very first ‘The Online-Outdoor Family Quiz by PuddleDucks’. Think of the quiz as an online treasure hunt that the whole family can take together. It is brought to you in association with five of Irelands’s fantastic family parks: Brigit’s Garden, Fota Wildlife Park, Castlecomer Discovery Park, Greenan Farm and Carlingford Adventure Centre. This quiz is part of the Irish Internet Association’s Digitise the Nation event which is all about encouraging people to use the internet in more creative ways. We hope that with our quiz children can be introduced to the internet in a fun but safe and supervised way. We also hope that you might learn more about some of the wonderful outdoor attractions available to us in Ireland.

There are 15 easy questions in the quiz – 3 questions for each of the five websites.
Be prepared! The quiz will take around 10 to 15 minutes to complete. While the questions are easy, finding the answers does involve searching for the answers on the centres’ websites. You need to complete the quiz to be eligible for a prize.
