Children’s Competition at Indie’Go Music Festival

The Indie’Go Music Festival is a new family friendly festival taking place in Fenagh, Co. Carlow on August 6th, 7th and 8th.  It promises loads of fun including 40 bands, 20 DJ’s and an array of exciting performances and workshops for all the family. Sounds like our kind of festival.

Ans what’s more! The good folks at Indie’Go are currently running a children’s competition to win a 3 day family ticket to the festival. The idea is for the kids to get creative with a digital camera (or just paper and crayons ) and post their entry to the Indie’Go Facebook page. Apart from tickets, the winning images will also be featured (and credited!) on Indie’Go’s promotional materials – from the  website and social networks to printed leaflets, programmes, posters and even in set decoration. The closing date for entries is July 2nd.

Life’s a Beach with our new Summer range

Life’s a Beach with PuddleDucks new Summer range.

To cater for the increasing numbers of Irish families holidaying at home this year, PuddleDucks.ie have launched a new collection of children’s summer gear to help the kids get more enjoyment from their time at the beach. 

PuddleDucks new collection includes long and short wetsuits for ages from 3 years up, UV protection clothes, sun hats and beach shoes.

Even on a sunny day a good quality wetsuit will protect children from chilly winds and cool seas giving them more time to enjoy splashing in the sea and playing on the beach. The PuddleDucks 3mm neoprene wetsuits are lined with a layer of Titanium which reflects heat back into the body – a feature usually only seen in high spec adult wetsuits. 

And for those hot sunny days, their soft and quick-drying UV suits, tops and hats will provide much needed UVPF 50+ sun protection.

And we are in Ireland after all, so if it does happen to rain then the PuddleDucks’ 100% waterproof dungarees and jackets will keep the kids happy – splashing in the puddles or playing roly-poly in the wet grass!

Online Outdoor Family Quiz – the Winners

Thanks to everyone for entering our Online Outdoor Family Quiz. We’re delighted with the number of entries we received and the feedback from people taking the quiz. Hopefully you learned a bit about some of the fantastic outdoor attractions available to us in Ireland.

We really appreciate the support from the quiz sponsors:- Fota Wildlife Park, Greenan Farm & Maze, Castlecomer Discovery Park, Brigit’s Garden and Carlingford Adventure Centre.

We drew the winners at random last night and tried as much as possible to satisfy people’s preferences for tickets.

PuddleDucksDuckers Out and About … On the Farm

The latest in our series of “PuddleDuckers Out and About” was sent to us by Marcella Reynolds of her little farmers Charlie and Johnny having fun around the garden and the farm.

The boys are wearing their High Visibility Dungarees and Jacket which are especially suited to kids living on farms.

Many thanks Marcella for sending on the photos and to Johnny and Charlie for being such great models. We hope the boys continue to have loads of outdoor fun in their PuddleDucks.
