Two new noisy Fleeces

We have recently introduced two new noisy fleeces to our range of children’s fleeces.

1. Dozy Mares Fleece (with Sound)

A lovely soft and cosy fleece featuring three dozy mares. They will neigh when the button is pressed.

2. Hillside Trucks Fleece (with Sound)

This cosy fleece will keep little truckers amused and warm.  The fleece features three trucks hard at work – just press the button to hear their engines chugging.

Both fleeces are priced at €28. We now have 17 different styles of kids fleece in our range. See them all here.

The Starlings are Back

We get our annual visit from a family of starlings every year around this time. They take up residence under the tiles at the corner of our house and raise a brood of noisy and hungry chicks. It’s great to welcome them back.

Just like with us humans, it’s hard work being a Starling parent. Once the little ones have hatched, mum and dad are constantly bringing tasty morsels of worms and grubs to the nest. I’d say they bring the food every 5 minutes and when they return, the chicks make the loudest chirping they can to grab the attention of mum or dad. They quickly feed the “kids” and off they go for more. We’re looking forward to the fluffy young birds making their first appearance outside the nest in a few weeks time.

Here’s a photo of one of the parents making a delivery of worms earlier today.

PuddleDuckers and the Whale

Here’s a photo from Cork’s Evening Echo showing the Walsh brothers on Courtmacsherry Beach to see the unfortunate fin whale who beached there a few weeks ago. Aidan, Michael and Alphie are all proudly wearing their PuddleDucks Waterproof Suits. It’s a great shot. Thanks to their mother, Amy for letting us know about it and to Rob for scanning it.

Pepper the Dog

Pepper interested in having photo taken

What's goin' on?

We were taking more photos in the garden for our new “Back to School” page when Pepper said “hey – what about me?”.   This is a typical look of his – big brown eyes gazing up at you while his ears are on full alert! He’s always so interested in what’s going on and makes sure he gets involved in whatever it might be!  We got Pep (aka Pepperoni, Pepsicola) as a pup from West Cork Animal Welfare over a year ago and he’s been part of the family ever since.
