Our Customer Photostream – Down on the Farm

We always love to receive your photos of PuddleDucks gear in action. It’s great to see kids having fun outdoors – wrapped up warm and dry in their PuddleDucks waterproofs. We recently received this lovely photo from our customer, Margaret Mary Murphy from Co. Kilkenny of her son out and about with the cows wearing his  fleece-lined waterproof set.  She commented on Twitter “My four year old won’t go farming with out his #puddleducks gear… Thanks for keeping my washing down!”.

More PuddleDucks In Action Photos

We always love to receive photos of our gear in action being happily worn by kids in the the great outdoors. Here’s two gorgeous photos we’ve received recently.

The first is from from customer, Janice McKeller. Janice says ” I ordered this set for my grandson some weeks ago and it was given as a Christmas present, it is brilliant! It exceeds all expectations, it was given a real test at Culzean Country Park yesterday. I thought that you would like to see the photos”. Thanks Janice – the photos are fab.

The second photo is a snowy one of gorgeous little George McKenna on the slopes in France, snug and warm in his PuddleDucks gear. And mum Emer’s feedback on the fleece-lined set … “One word: awesome”. Adding “We’re so proud to show off our wee miracle boy in your wonderful clobber! Worth noting too is that under the suit are the Puddleducks long thermals which keep him completely toasty whilst rolling around in the snow (he’s not a walker yet but the kid can really roll!!).” Thanks so much Emer (and George!) – we love the photo and thanks so much for your feedback.

PuddleDucks – Quality by Design

When we started PuddleDucks seven years ago, we scouted around for the best kids waterproof gear from Scandanavia.  We were determined to find waterproofs that would really work and would last. After looking at a number of manufacturers we selected Abeko from Sweden as our supplier of choice.  We liked the look and quality of their gear and were impressed that the children’s clothes were designed specifically for the needs of children.  Abeko’s 60 years of experience in manufacturing rainwear was also reasssuring for our new business as quality was key right for us from the start.  There were cheaper options out there but they simply didn’t compare.  We decided to spend a couple more Euro and go for gear that ‘Does what it says on the tin!’ Looking back, we definitely made the right choice!  And it seems that our customers certainly agree with us.  Over the years we have constantly heard how delighted our customers are with the quality and durability of our gear.  Many customers can’t believe that their first set of waterproofs are still going strong years later having been passed down from one sibling to another!  Here are just some of the comments we’ve recieved from customers about the Abeko waterproofs.

PuddleDucks Gear: Best in Test

We’ve always known that the the quality of our rain gear from our Swedish suppliers, Abeko is of fantastic quality. Lots of lots of our customers have told us so.

But now it has been proven that the Abeko gear is the best in an independent test undertaken in Sweden. It came out top in a test among 10 different Swedish manufacturers.

It’s nice to know that we sell the best.

Waterproofs for Pre-schools and Creches

As well as selling online, we are always delighted to supply our waterproof clothes to creches and pre-schools. Many creches and preschools have wonderful new outdoor play areas and having the kids wearing suitable outdoor wear allows them to and enjoy their outdoor play in all weathers. We offer attractive discounts for bulk orders.

It was great to get these photos recently from one of our customers, Cushing House Community Childcare in Faranree, Cork. Thanks to all the staff at Cushing House for taking and sending the photos. It’s really heart warming for us to see the kids happy in their PuddleDucks gear.

Our chief PuddleDucks model – through the years!

Our son Jake has always been our chief model for showing off the PuddleDucks gear. In fact, he was the inspiration for starting our business. When we started PuddleDucks early in 2005, Jake was nearly 4 – he’s now 9. So here’s a quick look back Jake’s modelling career from the past five years.

Starting with  one of our early photos showing him having fun in Currabinney Woods with his friend, Dougie. Jake is wearing his first pair of Everyday Dungarees.

In 2006, Jake is posing with our lovely dog, Rory in the garden.

PuddleDucks Summer Art Competition

To celebrate the launch of our new Sun and Beach range we are organising a new children’s summer art competition.

Our new summer range includes kids wetsuits, UV suits, tops & hats and beach shoes. You can see the full range here. 

To enter the art competition let your little artists have fun drawing or painting their favourite beach scene. Send us the drawing and be in with a chance to win a bumper set of beach toys.
